About Harold

Meet Harold!

Harold, a gifted shibari artist and a photographer in his own right, is the other creative visionary and key supporter behind Sunnyland Studio.

Harold has been the organizer of the FetLife Tuesday Night Coffee meetup in Barrie since 2020, but has been a part of the kink community for half of his adult life. He is known in the community as someone welcoming to newbies, always extending friendship to those new to the lifestyle or area. Very much a social butterfly, he can talk to anyone and is very open-minded, nonjudgmental, knowledgeable about kink and fetishes. He also tends to keep anxious people calm with his funny, easy-going nature.

Being a practiced Dom and Sunny’s Daddy, Harold has attended hundreds of FetLife community munches around Ontario, as well as assisting at clubs, seminars, workshops, demonstrations, and expos on BDSM. He is always reading and learning about the lifestyle to be better at it himself, and to have a better understanding of it for other people.

Shibarrie

Harold has been studying rope arts since 2018 and has thousands of hours of practice on all female body shapes and sizes. When there’s not a flesh and blood person around to tie, he spends time tying knots on doorknobs, suspending chairs, or practicing on Quinn, his mannequin. Harold is currently supplying rope to the local kink community under the Shibarrie banner, and in the warmer months, he runs a local Rope In the Park workshop every other Sunday.

Harold + Sunnyland Studio

Harold’s background is primarily in nature and landscape photography, and he can be found in Muskoka, or off the trails of Algonquin, looking for birds, flowers, or waterfalls to take pictures of on any given weekend. He is very interested in the math and science of photography lighting, and what can be done in post-production.

Harold combines a keen creative eye with mad technical and post-processing photography skills, to help offer Sunnyland Studio clients a unique experience with a gorgeous set of photos to remember it by. You’ll find him holding lights, assisting Sunny with technological challenges, or generally giving input during shoots!
(And of course, if a model prefers Harold not be in the room during the shoot, he can easily not be there!)

Harold takes an "after" photo of Sunnyland Studio with his cell phone, after he and Sunny Crittenden set up the studio for the first time.
